Growth best practices

Each social media platform is different.

For each platform, here's the maximum number of daily posts I recommend and my top tips. If you post more than that, you risk hurting your reach and engagement.

You should focus on the platforms where your audience hangs out. However, some platforms are easier to grow fast on, such as Tiktok and Instagram. Some platforms are slower, e.g. Youtube and Linkedin.

Top Growth Tips

Linkedin

2 posts

< 10k followers: spend 30 minutes per day commenting on other people's posts. Target industry peers and your ideal customer profile. Post in the morning.

Repost your post in early evening. Linkedin is the slowest to grow on, but worth it!

Twitter

5 if < 10k followers

15 if > 10k followers

< 10k followers: spend more time engaging with others than writing tweets. For your own sanity, curate your feed by hiding stuff you don't like it.

Tiktok

5 videos

< 50k followers: post A LOT, wait 1-2 hours between each post, use Creator Search Insights and search for Content Gaps, and use keywords in your title, description, and captions. Don't spend a lot of time on video editing or you'll burn out. Everything I did to go from 0 to 350k (TT+IG): https://www.sabrina.dev/p/steal-my-tiktok-playbook-100-to-100k-followers-in-60-days

Instagram

1 image post

4 reels

Start with Reels because IG is pushing them hard. Refer to my Tiktok playbook, as it applies to Reels as well. Coming soon - automation that will take your tiktok videos and auto cross-post to IG reels.

Facebook

4 reels

If you want faster growth, use a Creator profile. BUT you have to post everything manually. Facebook does NOT allow automated posting for Creator profiles. Also, you don't get the perks of Business Manager (running ads). If you want automation and Business Manager features (ads), use a Facebook Page. This is what I do because I don't want manual work. Pinterest

30 pins

Use trends.pinterest.com to find keywords with <1M searches/month. Create 20-30 boards initially, each with an SEO optimized title. Then, pin 20 of others' pins to each board, teaching Pinterest algorithm what each board is about.

Next, pin your own pins aimed at specific buyer types (commercial intent, community, etc), and make sure to sprinkle keywords everywhere. Imagine each visitor is looking for a specific solution (e.g. SaaS app or lead magnet)

Youtube

1 long video

4 shorts

Long video: if you're shy on camera, try a video podcast where you interview guests who are your ideal customer. Publish to Youtube and distribute to Spotify, Apple Music, etc.
