Two Ways to Add AI Voiceover
Option 1: Use a Template with AI Voice (Recommended)
If you're creating a new video, the easiest approach is to select the "AI Video with AI voice" template. This template automatically generates AI voiceover synced to your script.
Go to Videos
Select "AI Video with AI voice" from the template dropdown
Enter your script
Click "Generate Video"

Option 2: Add Voiceover to an Existing Video
If you already have a video (or chose a template without voiceover), you can add AI voiceover in the editor. Follow the instructions below.
How do I add an AI voiceover?
To add an AI voiceover to your video, click the BLUE caption track in the video editor. This opens the Caption panel where you select an AI voice and click "Generate Voiceover". Here's how to add AI voiceover, it's inside the video editor:

How to Generate AI Voiceover Captions
In the video editor, click the BLUE caption track. This should open the "Caption" panel on the left.
If you DO NOT SEE the blue caption track, that means you selected a video template that does not use captions/voiceovers. But you can always add it by clicking "Caption" on the left sidebar.
After clicking the BLUE caption track, you can preview and select different ElevenLabs voices and change parameters like stability, similarity, etc (scroll to the bottom).
When you click "Generate Voiceover", this will generate the AI voice reading your script.
How to Align Images/Video with AI Voiceover Caption?
After the AI voice is generated, you will probably need to align your image/video tracks with the AI voice captions. Click on your image or video track, then click "Align to Captions":
Elevenlabs Custom AI Voices
If you want to use your custom Elevenlabs voice, simply plug in your API key,
Go to "Settings" and input your Elevenlabs API key:
When you create a video in the web app, all your custom Elevenlabs voices will be listed and available for you to select.
Click on the BLUE caption track, then go to the "Voice" panel to see your custom Elevenlabs voices:
For Blotato API users, custom Elevenlabs AI voices are not available as a native voiceId parameter yet. Native support is on the roadmap.
Workaround: Generate your ElevenLabs audio via the ElevenLabs API separately, then pass the audio URL into the "Combine Existing Clips" template in the Create Visual node.

How do I change the voiceover speed?
There is no speed control in the Blotato video editor yet. Updating the AI voice speed is on the roadmap.
To control pacing now, add punctuation like "..." or line breaks between phrases in your script. This creates pauses in the AI voiceover. Then click "Generate Voiceover" to regenerate the audio with the updated pacing.
Not seeing BLUE caption track to generate AI voiceover?
If you created a video without a script, then it won't have the blue CAPTION track. But you can always add it by clicking CAPTION in the left sidebar, type in your desired captions, then you'll see the option to generate the AI voiceover. For POV style videos, for example, captions and AI voices aren't usually used. So Blotato provides flexibility depending on your use case.
