# Billing & Credits

## Where do I check my billing & subscription?

Go to <https://my.blotato.com/settings/billing>.

Click **Open Billing Portal** to manage your subscription, invoices, payment method, cancel, or upgrade your plan. The **AI Credits and Usage** section on the same page shows your credit balance.

## What's included in the Free Trial?

During your free trial, you can access ALL blotato features except the API - this is to prevent spam/abuse of people posting low-quality content.

This means you can add unlimited context, create unlimited posts, schedule and publish unlimited posts to all social platforms, connect your social connects, browse the viral inspiration database, and use a limited number of AI credits (60 credits) to generate AI images and AI videos.

To unlock your full amount of credits, you'll need to upgrade from your free trial. To do so, navigate to Settings > Open Billing Portal.

### Generating an API key ends your free trial immediately

If you go to Settings > API and generate an API key, your free trial ends at that moment and your paid subscription begins. This applies even if you have days remaining in your trial.

Before the API key is issued, Blotato shows a warning and a confirmation popup explaining this. You must confirm before the key is generated.

If you need to try n8n or Make automations during your free trial and do not want to be charged, do not generate an API key. Use the Blotato web app instead until you are ready to subscribe.

## Plan Limits

Each paid plan has the following limits. For the most up-to-date pricing, visit [blotato.com/pricing](https://www.blotato.com/pricing).

| Limit | Starter | Creator | Agency |
| ------------------------- | -------------- | ------------ | ------------- |
| Connected social accounts | 20 | 40 | 100 |
| Max media upload size | 400 MB | 1 GB | 1 GB |
| Queued scheduled posts | 200 | 1,000 | 3,000 |
| Scheduling horizon | 9 months ahead | 1 year ahead | 2 years ahead |
| API access | Yes | Yes | Yes |

All paid plans (Starter, Creator, Agency) include full API access. The **free trial is the only state where API is restricted**. Generating an API key from Settings > API immediately ends the free trial and activates your paid Starter subscription.

### Connected social accounts

The total number of social accounts you have connected across all platforms. Facebook Pages and LinkedIn Company Pages do not count toward this total -- only the parent Facebook or LinkedIn account counts.

If you hit the limit, first disconnect an account in [Settings > Social Accounts](https://my.blotato.com/settings) or upgrade your plan.

### Max media upload size

The largest file size you can upload to Blotato in a single request.

If your file exceeds the limit, compress or trim the file, or upgrade your plan.

### Queued scheduled posts

The total number of posts you can have scheduled at any one time. Posts published immediately do not count against this limit.

If you hit the limit, delete some upcoming posts from [Upcoming Posts](https://my.blotato.com/queue/schedules) or upgrade your plan.

### Scheduling horizon

The furthest date in the future you can schedule a post for. Limits depend on your plan:

* Starter: 9 months ahead
* Creator: 1 year ahead
* Agency: 2 years ahead

If you try to schedule a post past your plan's horizon, Blotato returns an error. Pick a time within your plan's window or break longer campaigns into shorter batches.

## Cancel Account

Blotato uses Stripe for billing and subscription.

Go to [Settings](https://my.blotato.com/settings/billing) and scroll down to **Billing > Open Billing Portal**.

There are no long-term commitments. You can cancel Blotato anytime.

If you do cancel, I will personally reach out to get your feedback!

### How do I delete my account?

Blotato does not have a one-click account deletion. To fully close your account:

1. Disconnect all social accounts: go to [Settings > Social Accounts](https://my.blotato.com/settings) and disconnect each connected platform
2. Cancel your subscription: go to [Settings > Billing](https://my.blotato.com/settings/billing) > Open Billing Portal and cancel

After cancelling, you will see a reactivation modal when you log in. You cannot access the app (including previously created videos, posts, and settings) without an active subscription. Your content is not deleted -- reactivating your subscription restores full access to everything you created.

When you cancel, the following are deleted immediately:

* All remaining AI credits, including any unused credits from credit packs you purchased
* Any discount applied to your account
* Any active promotional benefits

If you resubscribe later, you start fresh with your new plan's default credit amount. Previously deleted credits do not return, and prior discounts or promotions do not reapply.

If you only want to pause for a short period, do not cancel -- you will lose all your credits.

Clicking "Reactivate" on the modal restarts your paid subscription immediately.

### How to check refund status after cancelling

After cancelling, the reactivation modal blocks access to Settings and the Billing Portal. To check your refund status without reactivating:

1. Check your email for a Stripe refund receipt (sent to the email address on your Blotato account)
2. Check your bank or credit card statement for the pending refund
3. Ask in the support chat about your refund status -- your Stripe payment history is looked up directly

***

## How do I get a refund?

Refunds are processed through Stripe. When you request a refund, your most recent payment is refunded and your subscription is canceled immediately. Funds take 5-10 business days to reach your account.

When you request a refund, all your remaining AI credits are deleted immediately. If you resubscribe later, you start fresh with your new plan's default credit amount.

***

## How do I change my plan?

1. Go to [Settings > Billing](https://my.blotato.com/settings/billing)
2. Click "View Billing Portal"
3. Click the purple "Update subscription" button next to your current plan
4. Select the plan you want to switch to
5. Confirm the change

Stripe prorates the charge based on your remaining billing cycle.

***

## How do I enter a discount code?

Discount codes are entered at checkout when you first subscribe to a paid plan. Codes do not apply to existing paid subscriptions.

If you are on the free trial and want to use a code:

1. Go to [Settings > Billing](https://my.blotato.com/settings/billing)
2. Click **Open Billing Portal**
3. Select a paid plan
4. Enter your code in the discount field at checkout
5. Confirm the discount appears in the price breakdown before paying

If you already paid full price and forgot the code, see [What if my discount or promo code was not applied?](#what-if-my-discount-or-promo-code-was-not-applied) below.

***

## What if my discount or promo code was not applied?

Blotato runs limited-time promotions with discount codes. Codes are applied during checkout when you first subscribe. See the [🎁 Current Promo](/settings/current-promo.md) page for the latest offer (or to confirm none is active).

If you used a promo code at checkout but were charged full price:

1. Open the in-app support chat (orange button in the bottom-right corner)
2. Tell the support agent which code you used and when you signed up
3. Sabrina will verify the code and adjust your billing

Do not request a refund to fix a missing discount. A refund cancels your subscription immediately. Wait for Sabrina to apply the adjustment directly.

### When do promotional bonus credits appear?

Promotional bonus credits (e.g., extra credits from a signup offer) are added when your paid subscription activates. During the free trial, you see only the trial credit balance (60 credits). The bonus credits appear after the trial ends and your first payment processes.

To check your credit balance: go to [Settings > AI Credits and Usage](https://my.blotato.com/settings/billing).

This page shows your current credit balance and lets you buy more credits. A detailed credit usage history (showing credits spent per generation) is not available yet.

## Credit System

Every plan includes credits per month: <https://www.blotato.com/pricing>

Credits are used for:

* generating AI images
* generating AI videos

Credits are NOT used for:

* scheduling or publishing posts
* AI voiceovers (powered by ElevenLabs)
* turning your content into posts
* Viral AI Coach (included in all paid plans with unlimited use)

Credits rollover each month. However, if you refunded your payment, then your credits will not rollover.

If you run out of credits, you can always purchase more by going to:

**Settings > AI Credits and Usage > Buy More Credits**

Unlike Kling or Runway, Blotato is not just selling credit packs for image/video generation. In Blotato, you can turn your content into posts for social media, manage content calendars, use viral AI writing prompts, search the viral post database for inspiration, add Elevenlabs AI voices to your videos, use API for automation, access a library of royalty-free images/videos, web video editor similar to Capcut, and in addition to all those features, Blotato also offers AI image and video generation. Plus, you can generate images and videos from multiple providers including flux, ideogram, recraft, luma, ltx, kling, minimax, hunyuan, veo2, and runway.

If you're looking to only make AI images/videos and not use the rest of the Blotato platform, then credit packs are the way to go. In Blotato, credit packs are $6.99 for 1000 credits. Go to:

**Settings > AI Credits and Usage > Buy More Credits**

***

## Do Credits Rollover?

Yes, credits rollover each month.

However, if you refunded your payment, then your credits will not rollover.

The credit rollover may change in the future, but I will provide ample notice before any such change.

***

## How do I see invoices?

Go to Blotato Settings > Open Billing Portal > scroll down to INVOICE HISTORY.

You can see all your invoices and download them:

![](/files/TA55oF8OaEymqzpEMqmC)

***

## How do I add company details to my invoice?

To add your company name or other business details to your invoice:

1. Go to [Settings > Billing](https://my.blotato.com/settings/billing)
2. Click "View Billing Portal"
3. Update your billing information with your company details

Future invoices will include your updated company information.

***

## How many images or videos can you generate?

It entirely depends on your [plan](https://www.blotato.com/pricing), which AI models you use, and the duration of your videos.

For example, image-to-video AI models will cost more credits than generating a static image.

***

## Is there a time limit on videos created?

There is no time limit on video duration.

As long as you have sufficient credits, you can generate very long videos.

***

## How Can I See How Many Credits Something Costs?

There are two ways to see credit costs before generating:

1. Use "Create Everything with AI Agent" (1st option on [Videos > New](https://my.blotato.com/videos/new)). The credit cost displays before you generate.
2. In the video editor, click on a GREEN image track. The credit cost appears above the "Regenerate" button.

Generally, users don't run out of monthly credits unless they are generating high-quality animated videos:

Here's the full list of AI image and video models available in Blotato and their credit costs:

## How do I get more credits?

Go to Settings > Billing <https://my.blotato.com/settings/billing> to buy more credits, using the slider to indicate the exact amount of credits you want to purchase. Credits rollover every month.
