# Recommended Workflow

Choose a visual template, review its inputs and credit cost, verify generation, and publish only the approved output.

If the visual already exists, start with [Edit, mute, and export](/web-app-features/videos/edit-and-export.md). Do not generate it again to download or publish it.

## Using Blotato Web App

1. Open [Videos > Create New Video](https://my.blotato.com/videos/new).
2. Select the template for the requested format.
3. Open "Need more customization? Click to see advanced options" to review the selected template's controls.
4. Review your prompt, any manual inputs, and [credit cost](/web-app-features/videos/ai-video-credits.md) before generation.
5. Generate the visual.
6. Review images, motion, captions, and audio.
7. Export the approved version using [Edit, mute, and export](/web-app-features/videos/edit-and-export.md#export-the-requested-format).
8. Use Create Post to prepare a draft, then publish or schedule only as requested.

Template inputs and model choices differ. Not every template has scenes or a narration script. Use the options shown for the selected template instead of assuming every template has "Cheapest" or "Best" settings. Regenerating media is another generation action, not a free preview.

## Using Blotato API (n8n / Make.com)

1. Retrieve the selected template's current input schema.
2. Match the requested output to its supported fields.
3. Check credits and obtain approval for the intended generation.
4. Follow [Create and publish a visual](/agent-workflows/agent-workflows/visuals.md) to submit, retain the ID, check status, and inspect the output.
5. Make a separate publishing request only when authorized.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the following URL with the `ask` and `goal` query parameters:

```
GET https://help.blotato.com/web-app-features/videos/recommended-workflow.md?ask=<question>&goal=<user_goal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is what the user is ultimately trying to achieve, the reason they need the answer. Sharing it helps GitBook give you a better, more relevant answer. A goal is most helpful when it describes the outcome the user wants rather than restating the question. For example, with `ask=how do I create an API token`, a goal like `automate deployments from our CI pipeline` lets GitBook tailor the answer to that use case.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
