# Make Your First AI Video

Create a narrated video from a template and verify generation before publishing.

## Using Blotato Web App

1. Open Videos, then select [Create New Video](https://my.blotato.com/videos/new).
2. Select "AI Video with AI Voice".
3. Enter a prompt describing your topic, narration, and requested video.
4. Open "Need more customization? Click to see advanced options".
5. Turn on "AI Voiceover" for narration.
6. Click "Generate Video".
7. Review the generated visual and narration on the page Blotato opens.
8. Follow [the publishing workflow](/web-app-features/videos/recommended-workflow.md) after the output is ready.

For word-for-word narration, use "Add Scene" under "Scenes" and enter each scene's text in "Voiceover Script" before generating. Set each scene's "Media Source" for its image or video. Narration requires script content as well as "AI Voiceover". A blank script does not produce narration.

Do not ask the in-app AI Agent to generate the video. Its video-generation path redirects to the template screen.

For animation, voice, and editing questions, use [Video FAQs](/web-app-features/videos/faqs.md). Inspect the selected template's options instead of assuming every template supports the same controls.

## Using Blotato API (n8n / Make.com)

1. Follow [Create and publish a visual](/agent-workflows/agent-workflows/visuals.md).
2. Select the template and validate its inputs.
3. Generate the visual and verify completion.
4. Review the media before publishing.

For an external assistant using MCP, use the tool sequence on the same workflow page. Creating a visual does not publish it to a social platform.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the following URL with the `ask` and `goal` query parameters:

```
GET https://help.blotato.com/web-app-features/videos/make-your-first-ai-video.md?ask=<question>&goal=<user_goal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is what the user is ultimately trying to achieve, the reason they need the answer. Sharing it helps GitBook give you a better, more relevant answer. A goal is most helpful when it describes the outcome the user wants rather than restating the question. For example, with `ask=how do I create an API token`, a goal like `automate deployments from our CI pipeline` lets GitBook tailor the answer to that use case.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
