# Supported Posts & Media

For API and MCP request fields, use the [TikTok publishing guide](/platform-publishing/platforms/tiktok.md). Use [Media Requirements](/rest-api-reference/publish-post/media.md#tiktok) for conversion behavior and export settings.

| Post type | Media | Limits and export guidance |
| --------------- | ------------------- | ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| Image | JPEG or WebP | Up to 20 MB per image. For portrait exports, use 1080 × 1920. Follow [TikTok image requirements](/rest-api-reference/publish-post/media.md#tiktok) for Blotato's normalization behavior. |
| Video | MP4 or MOV | Up to 1 GB through Blotato, or 400 MB on Starter. The connected TikTok account's duration allowance also applies. |
| Photo slideshow | JPEG or WebP images | Supply the images in `mediaUrls`. Use the same image requirements as above. |

Captions support up to 2200 characters. The [media guide](/rest-api-reference/publish-post/media.md#tiktok) includes the 10-minute video guideline. Your plan's upload limit and TikTok's account-specific restrictions still apply.

Blotato does not automatically convert TikTok videos. Prepare the file before publishing. For errors and account restrictions, read [TikTok FAQs](/social-accounts-and-platform-faqs/tiktok/faqs.md) and [TikTok limitations](/social-accounts-and-platform-faqs/tiktok/limitations.md).

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the following URL with the `ask` and `goal` query parameters:

```
GET https://help.blotato.com/social-accounts-and-platform-faqs/tiktok/supported-posts-and-media.md?ask=<question>&goal=<user_goal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is what the user is ultimately trying to achieve, the reason they need the answer. Sharing it helps GitBook give you a better, more relevant answer. A goal is most helpful when it describes the outcome the user wants rather than restating the question. For example, with `ask=how do I create an API token`, a goal like `automate deployments from our CI pipeline` lets GitBook tailor the answer to that use case.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
