# Choose a workflow

Choose a task recipe for publishing, scheduling, media, sources, analytics, comments, messages, automations, or credits.

Each workflow starts with the user's goal and defines the evidence required for completion. Use [MCP setup](/start-with-an-ai-agent/mcp/setup.md) for an assistant's tool connection, or the [REST quickstart](/start-with-an-ai-agent/start.md) for HTTP requests. Do not install MCP to repair a REST request.

| Goal                                  | Workflow                                                                 |
| ------------------------------------- | ------------------------------------------------------------------------ |
| Post now, including cross-posting     | [Publish and verify](/agent-workflows/agent-workflows/publish.md)        |
| Schedule, reschedule, or cancel | [Manage scheduled posts](/agent-workflows/agent-workflows/schedule.md) |
| Use a file from your computer         | [Upload local media](/agent-workflows/agent-workflows/upload.md)         |
| Generate images, carousels, or videos | [Create a visual](/agent-workflows/agent-workflows/visuals.md)           |
| Extract content from a URL or text    | [Repurpose content](/agent-workflows/agent-workflows/sources.md)         |
| Review post performance               | [Read analytics](/agent-workflows/agent-workflows/analytics.md)          |
| Read or reply to comments | [Manage comments](/agent-workflows/agent-workflows/comments.md) |
| Read or reply to DMs | [Manage messages](/agent-workflows/agent-workflows/messages.md) |
| Set up keyword-triggered replies      | [Manage DM automations](/agent-workflows/agent-workflows/automations.md) |
| Check or buy credits                  | [Manage credits](/agent-workflows/agent-workflows/credits.md)            |

Use [MCP example prompts](/start-with-an-ai-agent/mcp/examples.md) for combinations of these tasks. Use [REST workflow examples](/api-and-mcp-concepts/workflows.md) for request bodies and diagrams.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the following URL with the `ask` and `goal` query parameters:

```
GET https://help.blotato.com/agent-workflows/agent-workflows.md?ask=<question>&goal=<user_goal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is what the user is ultimately trying to achieve, the reason they need the answer. Sharing it helps GitBook give you a better, more relevant answer. A goal is most helpful when it describes the outcome the user wants rather than restating the question. For example, with `ask=how do I create an API token`, a goal like `automate deployments from our CI pipeline` lets GitBook tailor the answer to that use case.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
